Great place for a presentation

Säätytalo, The House of the Estates, Helsinki.

I was giving a scientific presentation about effects of magnetic fields on oxidative stress there.

You can find more info about Säätytalo here.

They love each other

Kaapo made a door book, originally uploaded by Jonne Naarala.

It makes me so happy to see them love and care each other. Best feeling in the whole world.

A scene from the church yard

Shot from the frontyard of Kuopio Cathedral. I really like the “through the trees” scene here. On the left side is the former Bank of Finland building and on the right side Kuopio museum. It was a beautiful sunny but windy day.

The Victor Barsokevitsch Photographic Centre

One of the main photographic centres in Finland. Located in, Kuopio, Eastern Finland, where I work and used to live before we moved in countryside. They have very good national and international exhíbitions there. You can find more info here.

Our place in winter sun

Our place in winter sun, originally uploaded by Jonne Naarala.

This winter has been very snowy and lately also very cold one. Snow everywhere plus -37 C is a cool combo. Well, actually we are very much used to this kind of a weather but because our winter lasts almost six months you have to complain at least littlebit in some point. 😉

It is so great to have faces like this around you!

I am really fortunate to have a loving family around me. My beautiful and understanding wife Jenni and our two sons, Kaapo and Tiitus. And of course our dogs, Herkko and Hiski.

They all bring so much meaning and content in my life.

Brothers baking rolls

Brothers baking rolls, originally uploaded by Jonne Naarala.

Both Kaapo and Tiitus are very keen bakers. Here they are baking rolls with mom. I especially love here Tiitus’ expression. He is like a master chef looking over Kaapo’s progress. And Tiitus put the Beetle cap on as a chef’s hat!

Poor barn has almost collapsed

Poor barn has almost collapsed, originally uploaded by Jonne Naarala.

I have photographed this barn every winter we have lived in our present house (from 2006) and every year it is bending down more and more. I think the next winter could be its last one which is a real pity because there are not so many barns left in our area.
